SILVER SPRING, MARYLAND - AUG 24, Day 2, 108 miles (LEFT) James McCarthur, his wife Shona Donegan, Angelo Stewart and Dave Mullens head down the escalator at the Glenmont Metro station in Silver Spring Maryland on August 24, 2017. The four cyclists are finishing up their second leg of a 900 mile journey from Flemington, N.J. to Atlanta, Georgia to participate in the 12th annual Metro Atlanta Cycling Club (MACC Attack) one love century ride. A charity ride for Atlanta’s youth. Eight cyclist along with one SAG driver endured the nine day journey averaging a 100 miles a day and over 25,000 feet of total climbing.
They started out in Wilmington, Delaware and was planning to rest for the night in Arlington. “But after being lost we decided to catch the metro to Union Station in DC. to meet the rest of our peloton.” McCarthur said.
